Korean toilet seat covers

So we've been sitting in the Korean airport now for a good 7 hours....Not much going on besides Korean workers standing around at their respective shops in the airport near our gate. Ross and I are the only people between our gate and about 10 gates down...luckily I'm easily entertained.

Which brings me to my current a-ha! moment...I mentioned in my email that Koreans are way ahead of us in the technology department. Here's Exhibit A (courtesy of some other foreigner who discovered this as well):

This is an image of a toilet with an interesting plastic wrap around the seat..At first, I was skeptical. I did my business per usual. I had no clue what that plastic was and I was not about to sit my behind down on it.

The next time I went to the restroom, I did a more thorough analysis of this crazy covering...I noticed the button on top was in fact a no-touch sensor for doing a full rotation of the plastic! Why hadn't anyone thought of this before??

No more hovering, squatting, wiping the seat down, getting grossed out. It's sheer plastic genius!
